Important site updates

Gift Creek Bridal (now called Chrissy's Bridal)
has had a true and dedicated merchant/bank account for the past 11 years or so,
with which I have been processing customer's credit cards...

However, it has become increasingly evident that due to mounting credit card processing fees, bank fees,
merchant account fees and Credit Card Companies/Bank's certification fees (gosh did I miss anything?)
rising on an anual basis, I have decided to go "strictly Pay Pal"

Just look around on the web these days and you'll see:
Most Electronic, big box, small business and mom & pop stores accept Pay Pal as a payment option/checkout method
and I use it for purchases myself, as does my husband and friends & family - to shop online securely.

Merchants do not see the credit card information and I can check out securely with Pay Pal anywhere
so I feel that offerning those same benefits to my customers will allow me to keep from increasing prices each year
to accommodate the banking/merchant fee hikes.

Prices go up sometimes because of suppliers and distributors and even trade laws - but having them increase
to keep covering these fee hikes is just not "do-able" anymore here at Chrissy's Bridal -

 E Mails

If you wish to make an order status inquiry or ask any question at all, please be advised that if you
send an email, you will be receiving a reply within minutes or up to 24 hours.
If there was a problem or delay with your order, you will be sent an e-mail notifying you of a problem.
I check my bulk and junk folders as well as the inbox and note that some customers do not
do the same and become irritated at having received no reply.
Occasionally, there are attempts to reach folks that are e-mailing here only to keep receiving
 "client's mailbox is full" messages.  

I do not ignore my customers and always reply as quickly as
I can  barring holidays or computer/server outage....

So Please, do check all your folders...
Make sure your inbox is not full to capacity...

During these times, I will be busy with inventory and filling any pending orders
as the supplies come in.   I will try to answer emails in the same speed as normal operation hours
allow but it may be up to 24 hours for a reply. Not including June vacation/anniversary time where
I will not be available to answer emails.





Normal Hours of Operation:
Though the typical workday here is between 7am - 7pm Monday-Friday,
the online store is equipped to take your orders  24 -7 Thus, orders may be placed anytime within.

KEEP IN MIND: You can email at 8:00 PM ....  2:00 AM  or any other time that is convenient for you...  
    Because my computer is in the same shop where I work, I can answer you within hours and sometimes within minutes if you catch me
at the desk instead of the machines.  So, please feel free to email anytime regarding the progress of your order.

Turn Around - In-House time:
If you already have a purchase pending, your turn-around -or- "in-house" time
is whatever your online invoice receipt estimated at the time your order was placed...
Remember: times are estimated only.

Purchases are processed individually by the order in which they are received.
 HOWEVER:  Most in-stock items which do not need to be manufactured or personalized
have a faster turn around time...  Feel free to e-mail prior to shopping.
 Note: If you are ordering an item which needs to be personalized
- they have an advised wait time of  3 weeks prior to event!


If the current ESTIMATED turn around time stated at the top of your shopping cart page
does not agree with your particular time frame, It would be in your best interest to seek
an alternate source for your desired products.  Though I welcome individual requests for order status updates,
I do not automatically update order status by e-mail & do not guarantee stock levels
at the time of order placement or on-time delivery.

There is no warehousing... There are no shelves stocked.  May be the case in some other stores - not so here.
 When an order is placed, it does not mean that all items needed to complete
the order are in stock.  Some pieces within the order are started and the elements that
are missing due to back order or late shipments coming in to my store are added upon arrival.  

Unless requested, all items within an order are shipped together.
(This - along with a high volume of orders may increase the wait time - thus: turn around times
are "estimates" only.)  In the event that the order or a portion of the order needs to be cancelled,
an email will be sent.  Once again, please enable your email client to accept this store's emails and
always check your spam folder.

Shipping Information
Shipping of in-stock & completed orders
takes place from 1 to 3 days per week depending on the volume of orders processed.

All orders are shipped via Priority through the U.S. Post Office.
Occassionally through FedEx.
(once completed) which is 2-3 days to most U.S. states (maybe more)
USPS states that ship times are not guaranteed within or outside the US or to apo addresses -

Shipping to the UK :  Under 4 lbs in total shipping weight is figured by each lb...
up to that 4 lbs - packages ship Global Priority variable weight by air which is 4 - 6 days transit time once
shipped but is not guaranteed and does not include any time it takes to go through customs...
Over 4lbs :  Shipping is then switched to Global Express and is higher in cost (sometimes into the hundreds)
so please be aware of that when placing your order.

PLEASE NOTE: The estimated lead times given which may be listed
with an item's description are above any shipping time.
IE: .... X amount of days processing time + 2 to 3 days shipping/travel time...
SHIPPING - INSURANCE - DELIVERY CONFIRMATION CHARGES
 SUBJECT TO CHANGE ALONG  WITH POSTAL RATES

How long it takes for your package to get to you once it has been shipped is another issue
which is truly out of my hands and depends largely on the Postal Service and also any pending holidays,  
events of nature, acts of terrorism etc .  
* Once items have left the U.S. There is no way for me to determine the actual time it will take to arrive at your door.
It is always best to order ahead of time.

Shipping is configured by basic units of weight (oz) Up to each lb. inside US
Rate varies accordingly and is based upon individual destination zip codes/zones
 inside & outside the United States &  weight of the parcel according to the current postal rate chart
at the time of checkout.
Postal insurance is available by request for a flat fee of $1.70 no matter how large your purchase
and is strongly recommended, as once the package which has a delivery confirmation number
 has been received by the carrier/usps Gift Creek Bridal is not responsible for merchandise loss
or damage to said merchandise, improper or mis-delivery by carrier.

WE Currently SHIP PACKAGES 4 LBS AND OVER -- WITHIN THE UNITED STATES ONLY
If you believe your package will be under 4 pounds and have a total before shipping of no more than $50.00
and you wish to have the package shipped outside of the U.S. please email your request.  
All items that are allowed to ship outside the U.S. and will total less than 4 lbs will be considered.



Whenever possible,  recycled packing materials
are used to help keep our environment a little cleaner...
This may sometimes include packing peanuts.  If you do not
want us to use these in your shipment, please note this in the customer message
box at checkout.

Insurance Option

G.C.Bridal is in no way affiliated with the U.S. Postal System or The United Parcel Service.
Shipping charges include handling and delivery confirmation
which provides a way for me to see if the package has been delivered and when.

Postal insurance is available by request for a flat fee of $1.70 no matter how large your purchase
and is strongly recommended, as once the package which has a delivery confirmation number

Why is insurance recommended on purchases over $50.00?
Plain & simple, we never charged insurance automatically because
we have had folks flat out refuse to pay extra for insurance -
The main reason given for this?   
Because a signature is required and if the folks miss the notice that is supposed to be placed
in their box or at their residence, notifying them of a package in waiting -
The package will sit at the post office until someone signs for it or until enough time has passed -
in which case it is sent back to us and we will have to charge you to re-ship.

Even though I have had the good fortune of serving thousands of  happy customers since starting this
business, I must have certain policies in place for when the atmosphere may get grayish.
Situations may arise and miscommunications or a misunderstanding may result from not reading and or
understanding this site's own policies & turn-around estimates.
With that in mind, please understand this:
Gift Creek Bridal keeps records of postal purchases,
delivery confirmation tracking numbers and insurance receipts.
I also keep records of emails back and forth between myself and the customer...

Gift Creek Bridal's Online Showcase may have the look of a bridal "chain store"...
However, it is a privately owned & operated online retail store.
This store's polices and/or turn-around times are not the same as other larger stores.
Please visit the Policies page for answers to any questions you may have regarding this company or your purchase.

Payment is up front, order is processed - and contents of the order dictates how long the order will take
to be completely processed from start to finish and then shipped.

For this reason, there is a customer check box which must be checked prior to finalizing your purchase
which indicates that once checked, you have indeed visited the policies page and understand the important
factors for buying from Gift Creek Bridal such as:

Returns and Exchanges

       - ALL SALES ARE FINAL -
Gift Creek Bridal sells items intended for "special use" such as showers, weddings and similar events...

No items/orders will be accepted for return for any reason other than those listed under "exceptions" below.
Orders or portions of orders which accompany a request for refund within 7 days of delivery confirmation date
are taken back as returns for exchange or store credit only.

FOR THIS REASON:
Please be sure about the contents of your cart and also that the items
and quantity of items are correct upon & prior to finalizing your order.
If you would like a color swatch of velvet or satin, please send a request via e-mail
Returns of goods because the "do not exactly/perfectly match your dress/flowers/other -" are not accepted.

1. There is a misspelled name or incorrect date on a personalized item.
(extremely rare but it may happen & if so we will correct the problem through an even exchange)

2. There is a damaged item you wish to return for even exchange only.
(provided you have requested and paid for shipping insurance).

2. You received an item other than what you ordered.
IE: If you received white instead of ivory - or a basket instead of a pillow etc.
and are returning the item/s for exchange of product actually ordered.

Purchaser must contact me  via a valid, regularly checked e-mail address
within 7 days of delivery confirmation date - No exceptions.

    Refunds are given as store credits only and are non-transferrable
and not redeemable for cash.  Amount of store credit does not include original shipping price or tax - if applicable.

Important "Summer Candle Shipping Schedule"
                        Effective May 20th through October 1st :
Due to the nature of Candles and the fact that
they must not be subjected to extended periods of heat...

Orders containing candles will be shipped (upon completion of the order itself)
Mondays through Thursdays only and must be shipped using an expidited shipping
method.
Meaning: The order will not be placed and then received by the customer
the next day - but will be shipped overnight when the order actually does ship out.
No orders containing candles will ship Thursday through Sunday during these months

I have to thank all of the embroidery design makers & digitizers who's beautiful design components
have enabled me to unleash my own ideas and set them to motion within my own products overall looks.
Beware of those retailers & manufacturers who call themselves the "best"
I won't ever profess to be the best anywhere
or have the moxie to tell you that if you purchase from somewhere else
you'll be buying inferior products.
Such conduct is not impressive and a waste of time for the consumer.

      Since starting this business in the Summer of 1999, I continue to enjoy what it is that I do.  
I very much like the fact that many times more than not, I can accommodate specific needs
or wishes of many of my clients. Something that walking into a department or discount store -
and plucking a cellophane wrapped, bland, mass-produced bridal accessory does not allow.  
More recently I have had the opportunity to offer other designer's accessories and am glad to do so,
as I feel this provides you with more options & choices to better coordinate your pieces.

This is especially true of brides.  (I know, I am and have been one myself)
