Finding your size 
To find your size for a comfortable fitting garter, take a flexible
(fabric or paper) tape measurer and sitting on the edge of a chair,
place the beginning end of tape on topside of the leg (thigh area)
where you will be wearing your garter.
Bring the measuring tape
(or you may use yarn, twine or any ribbon you have handy)
around, underneath and up to the top again to meet the beginning end.
The measuring tape/string should be snug
but not too tight and not too loose.
It should be rest on your leg/thigh like a second skin.
The total length in inches from end to end is your measurement.
If you used yarn, string etc. Cut where the two ends meet.
Measure against a yardstick or other measuring device
That is what you need to go by when you choose
from the drop-down menus of those garters offering custom sizing.
